The CGL examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was announced in 2016. After the first level and the second level level examination, the third level examination was held in December 2016. Through which 11,000 vacancies in Group C and Group D were to be filled. But even after 18 months, the Modi government did not say anything about it. So in the end the patience of the students was broken.

In January last year (2019), the Ministry of Railways promised that the second phase of the recruitment process would begin in May 2020 and 99,000 posts would be completed by July-August 2021. However, the process has been so slow that the admit has not been released yet.

On the other hand, in December 2019, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the final results and the merit list of RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) and Technician 2018 examination. Seven months after the candidates were shortlisted, the RRB has yet to issue a letter of appointment. In other words, they are not able to join the job even after being shortlisted. This time dissatisfaction is building up against this negligence of Modi government and railways
