Deepika Chikhaliya, who plays Sita in Ramayana, said in an interview to news agency PTI, ‘Every year the story of Ramayana is shown in TV and films, but they show something or the other that hurts people’s feelings. Because you cannot make Ramayana like us.

The actress further said that ‘I feel worse than this that why Ramayana is made every 1-2 years, it is not an entertainment, but it is our culture. This is such an epic that you carry forward from generation to generation.

However, Deepika Chikhaliya also made it clear that she has not seen Adipurush yet. He has said this only on the basis of criticism about the film. The actress says that when she will watch the film, she will be able to express her opinion better on this matter.

Talking about Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, Deepika Chikhaliya said that the Ramayana which was shown on Doordarshan in 1987 was never aimed at earning money. People need to understand that Ramayana is something you worship, you worship Lord Ram and Hanuman.
