In which Railways has earned Rs 14642 crore from freight in one month, May 2023 itself. Which is 4% more in freight income (Rs 14,084 crore) than the same period last year. Railways achieved freight loading of 134 MT in May 2023, which is 2% higher than 131 MT in the same period last year.

During May 2023, an initial freight loading of 134 MT has been done as against loading of 131.50 MT in May 2022, which is an improvement of about 2% over last year, Freight loading in May 2022 is Rs 14083.86 Crore 14641.83 crore has been earned in May 2023 against income, which has improved by about 4% compared to the previous year.

Earning more than last year

April-May 2023 freight loading of 260.28 MT as against last year’s loading of 253.48 MT, which is almost 3% higher than last year’s loading. Railways has earned Rs.28512.46 crore as compared to Rs.27066.42 crore in the previous year, which is about 5% more than the same period last year.

In May 2023, Indian Railways has transported 65.89 MT of coal, 15.23 MT of iron ore, 13.20 MT of cement, 10.96 MT of remaining other goods, 6.79 MT of containers, 4.89 MT of fertilizers, 4.85 MT of food grains. and has carried a cargo of 4.23 MT in Mineral Oil in India.
