To reach the Ambaji Temple on the hill of Girina, one had to climb 9,999 steps. And it took 5 to 6 hours to cross so many stairs to reach the temple. This time, as a result of this ropeway, you can reach the temple in just seven and a half minutes.

A team of four experts from Austria has completed the work on the ropeway and its trial has also been completed. Girina Rope-Way will run from the foot of Bhavanath to the Ambaji Temple at the top of the hill. Nine towers have been installed on this ropeway and now 24 trolleys have been installed, more trolleys will be installed as required in future. One trolley can seat eight people.

In India so far only four or six people could sit in a ropeway trolley. But this will be the first ropeway trolley in India, where 8 people can sit together. This project will save both time and energy of the pilgrims. In the next few months, the Girina ropeway in Junagadh is set to become a tourist attraction.
