The Barakah plant is a combination of Emirates Atomic Energy Corporation and Korea Electric Power Corporation. It will help generate energy from a 1400 MW pressurized water reactor. This APR-1400 water reactor is made in South Korea.

The total cost of the Barakah plant was about ৪ 24.4 billion. According to sources, if the four reactors are commissioned as per the plan, 5600 MW of electricity will be generated.
