Bangla Hunt Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has deleted the name of Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar from the commentator's panel a long time ago. However, Sanjay Manjrekar had appealed to the Indian Cricket Board to comment again. This time too he was rejected by the BCCI i.e. the BCCI made it clear to him that the Board of Control for Cricket in India did not want to see him in the role of commentator any more.
The Indian Cricket Board has been at loggerheads with Sanjay Manjrekar since last March. Because Sanjay Manjrekar repeatedly belittled the cricketers while commenting. In the same vein, Sanjay Manjrekar has downplayed Indian all-rounder Rabindra Jadeja. The Indian Cricket Board did not take it very well. Rabindra Jadeja also protested. Manjerekar was also severely reprimanded by his fellow commentator Harsha. And for all these reasons, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is angry with Sanjay Manjrekar. That is why Sanjay Manjrekar's name was removed from the commentator panel of the South Africa series.
Sanjay Manjrekar had again written to the BCCI asking him to comment on the IPL this time but he was not forgiven. He even called BCCI president Sourav Ganguly but other board officials refused to hire Sanjay Manjrekar as a commentator for the same reason he has repeatedly belittled Indian cricketers. The BCCI has already announced the names of a team of seven for the commentary panel. Sanjay Manjrekar has been dropped from that list.
