The government has made a list of 23 new bills to be introduced in the monsoon session starting from Monday. The government plans to pass the bills in a 16-day session. The bills include a law to crack down on violence against health workers.
The bill criminalizes non-bailable offenses against health workers involved in the fight against Covid-19. The maximum sentence for this crime is seven years in jail and a fine of five lakh rupees.
The health workers who will be protected by this law are all kinds of health workers like doctors, Marsm hopefuls. Another bill is to reduce MPs' salaries by 30 per cent for one year from April 1, 2020. Let me tell you, this 30 percent money will be used in the fight against Corona.
