Mumbai police reach Kolkata to arrest Kangana's supporter, call Sanjay Raut and threaten him

Kangana fan arrested in Kolkata

Meanwhile, a young man from Kolkata was arrested for threatening Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on the phone. Palash Basu, 20, is a multimedia instructor by profession. Mumbai police claim Palash Kangana is a fan of Ranaut. He threatened Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on the phone. A sedition case has also been filed in Palash's name.

Mumbai Police's anti-terrorist squad arrested Palash from his home in Tollygunge with the help of Kolkata police on Friday morning. Mumbai police said Palash Basu, twice accused of using 'voice over internet protocol', called Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's office and Sanjay Raut's mobile phone. Introducing himself as Dawood Ibrahim's man, Sanjay Raut threatened that if he did not settle the dispute with Kangana, he would be seen.

Mumbai police are investigating the phone call based on the allegations. Soon after, a team of Mumbai Police came to Kolkata to investigate and arrested Palash Bose. When he was taken to Alipore court on Friday, he was allowed to be taken to Mumbai on transit remand.
