West Bengal is not in the top ten list of the happiest states in India. Haryana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh are at the bottom of the survey, which was conducted between March and July 2020. In the first row are states like Mizoram, Punjab and Andaman Nicobar. Bengal is in the 20th place.
Professor Rajesh Pilania of IIT and IIM has compiled a list of how happy people are anywhere in India. The list is based on the 7 parameters of income-growth, family relationships and friendships, physical and mental health, social problems and public welfare, religion or spiritual affiliation, the happiness effect of Kovid-19.
According to the report, marital status, age group, education and earnings have a lasting effect on happiness. According to the report, people who value time more than money are happier. In an interview on the subject, Professor Rajesh Pilania said, “Happiness is a thematic concept and the difference in ranking is due to the differences in the elements of happiness between the states and the Union Territories.” He also said that kind and patient people are much happier.
