A brutal incident has come to light after the election results came out in Katihar, Bihar. The son of a BJP leader has been killed for firing crackers in celebration of NAD's victory. The victim is said to be the son of a BJP booth president and ward member. According to reports, the son of the BJP leader, who was lighting firecrackers with joy, was brutally stabbed by the people on the upper side. There was a happy atmosphere in the area when the NDA won but now there is a shadow of mourning in the area.
The incident took place at Gopalpatti village of Sohata Uttar Panchayat in Falaka police station area of Katihar on Tuesday night. Ranjit Kumar, 18, son of BJP booth president Dinesh Muni of Kodha assembly constituency, was celebrating the victory of the BJP candidate. But the joy of this celebration turned to sorrow at the moment.
The deceased's father said he was not at home at the time of the incident. There was a threat on the phone that his son was enjoying the fireworks which was not going well. The boy's body was found hanging from a tree after the threat.
It is learned that the dispute between the two parties over the cracker took the form of extreme tension. Upon receiving the news of the dead youth, the police reached the area and sent the body for autopsy. Signs of beating were found on the body of the deceased, police said. Dinesh Muni, the father of the deceased, is a staunch supporter of the BJP who was given the post of booth president this time.
