Its design has been prepared by the Director of Naval Design, and it has been developed by Garden Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata. ”

He further said that 90 percent indigenous materials have been installed in this warship. The warship is equipped with sensors that can detect and follow enemy submarines. At the same time, it will not be caught on the enemy's radar.

INS Kavarti is named after the warship INS Kavarti which played an important role in the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan in 1971. This warship is 109 meters long and 12.7 meters wide. This warship has a 4B diesel engine. It weighs 3,250 tons. The addition of this warship to the Navy will greatly increase the strength of the Indian Navy.
