Arnab Goswami, Sushant's friend Sandeep files defamation suit against Republic TV


Reputation TV has filed a defamation suit against republican journalist Arnab Goswami. Sandip Singh, a close friend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has filed a defamation suit against Arnab. Not only that, 200 crore rupees has been demanded as compensation. Legal notice has been sent to Arnab Goswami.

Announcing his move on social media, Sandeep alleged that the news agency sent him many messages to force him to speak. According to the notice, Republic TV and Arnab have accused Sandeep Singh of being the “main conspirator” and “assassin” in the Sushant case.


Sandeep further claimed that an official of the news agency met him. He said that if Sandeep gave 'financial benefits' to the channel, the news broadcast against him would be stopped. In the light of his claim, the notice said, this allegation has been proved. Because so far many insulting news are being broadcast against Sandeep Singh on behalf of Republic TV.

Defamation charges have been filed against several Republic TV programs. At one point, a person claimed that Sandeep had told the ambulance driver to take Sushant's body to Cooper Hospital. The notice said Republic TV was running a campaign with the hashtag #ArrestSandeepSingh.

Sandeep claimed that from August 22 to 24, Republic TV correspondents tried to force his way into his house. His bodyguards were harassed and servants were told to testify against Sandeep. A defamation suit has been filed against Republic TV under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

The notice said that all the footage against Sandeep Singh, the news should be removed on behalf of the news agency. He has also been asked to apologize. If he does not respond to the notice within 15 days, he will go to court, said Sandeep Singh.
